Tenderete

A better workstation design.

Tenderete.
2015
Designed in collaboration with the designer Joshua Allen.

Why this object?

We Mexicans are characterized by our intuitive ability to repair everyday flaws through objects out of context; free and in seconds. In Tenderete we used such native ingenuity to correct the way we inhabit our workspace. We designed a product that coexists in harmony with our belongings; the Mexican way.

Stall stands out for its construction free of screws, nails, or welds. This speaks to its quality of workmanship as well as the caution with which itwas designed.

So, Tenderete is more than just a desk, is a kind of manifesto about how configuration and Mexican heritage can collide in a clean everyday design system.

Tenderete was the winner of National Furniture Design Competition, DIMUEBLE, in 2015, and the Honorable Mention of 9th Biennale of Design.
