A clock to remind other things more important than time.

Last year I lost a very important person in my life. In the middle of all the mess that happens, in a way I learned to be more conscientious, an awareness that I didn't have, about the importance of every moment spend, about the passage of time, and about how inevitable is this.
This object, TIEMPO, is an exercise to wants generate that awareness, to be a totem, a tangible reminder that for better or worse, time passes, and every moment matters. TIEMPO is a clock that itself doesn’t tells units to measure time, but it makes us aware of the inevitability of its passage. The clock contains a small niche in which you can place objects that are emotionally linked to that feeling that time passes; objects that remind us of something that was, or something that with the correct persistence will be.

Time passes, clock is ticking, regardless of whether it is measured in hours, minutes or seconds.

Everything happens, but everything also comes.
This object is to remember that.

Materials:
Solid oak wood, quartz clock mechanism.

Project update: TIEMPO now is part of the official selection of the 9th Ibero-American Design Biennial in Madrid, Spain.
